Denver’s First YMCA – Sally’s Y

January 22, 2009

Construction has yet to begin on Denver’s first YMCA.  $7 Million in Contributions is necessary to complete the project.  Currently $3.5 million has been raised to date.  An additional $365,000 must be pledged prior to the start of construction.

Pledges can be made through the donation of furnishings, construction, etc or you can visit www.sallysy.org and purchase a brick.  The brick will forever be a part of Sally’s Y and you can have your name or the name of a loved one engraved on it.

This facility was inspired by the loss of Sally Clark, a local teenager.  Visit the site to learn more about Sally Clark and the inspiration she provides to the project.  The Clark family donated a 150 Acre parcel of land to this project.  The YMCA will serve as a lasting memorial in her honor.

The new YMCA is in a beautiful setting and will allow a great place for local children to learn and play.  We look forward to completion and the addition of the YMCA to our community.
