East Lincoln County’s Relay For Life

East Lincoln County's Relay for Life
”You have cancer…”
words that strike fear and bring devastation to individuals and all those that love and care for them. It seems that almost everyone has been touched in some way by cancer. Whether it has been the trauma of a personal diagnosis or that of a close friend or family member, the word itself conjures images of pain and heartbreak.
The good news is that today, there is a better chance of overcoming this disease than ever before. Research, early intervention and prevention have dramatically changed what a cancer diagnosis means. Research and awareness take money – and in these difficult economic times, we cannot allow a lack of contributions to halt our progress towards finding a cure and enhancing early detection methods.
This year, myself and other members of the CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty family are participating in East Lincoln County’s Relay for Life – a grassroots effort to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society. This event will take place on May 2nd at the East Lincoln High School track. Our team will be participating with both a booth to raise funds and walking laps with others from our community. We are hoping as a team to reach out through our clients, friends and family to make a difference.
I am asking for your help – support, thoughts, prayers and financial sponsorship, if you are able, in any amount.
Checks can be made out to American Cancer Society and mailed to my attention at CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty, 885 North Hwy 16, Denver NC 28037.
We all hope that our lives reamain untouched by this deadly disease, but want to make sure we are doing all we can to fight for life and hope. Thanks in advance for your support!

My Deceased Grandfather with My Daughter
My Grandfather had Cancer. He had his larynx (voicebox) removed and taught himself to talk again. Unfortunately, he later suffered from Alzheimers and died. He was simply one of the best men I have ever met and played a huge role in my life. He is greatly missed.
