 “You have cancer…”

words that strike fear and bring devastation to individuals and all those that love and care for them.  It seems that almost everyone has been touched in some way by cancer.  Whether it has been the trauma of a personal diagnosis or that of a close friend or family member, the word itself conjures images of pain and heartbreak.

The good news is that today, there is a better chance of overcoming this disease than ever before.  Research, early intervention and prevention have dramatically changed what a cancer diagnosis means.  Research and awareness take money – and in these difficult economic times, we cannot allow a lack of contributions to halt our progress towards finding a cure and enhancing early detection methods.

This year, myself and other members of the CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty family are participating in East Lincoln County’s Relay for Life – a grassroots effort to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society.  This event will take place on May 2nd at the East Lincoln High School track.  Our team will be participating with both a booth to raise funds and walking laps with others from our community.  We are hoping as a team to reach out through our clients, friends and family to make a difference.

I am asking for your help – support, thoughts, prayers and financial sponsorship, if you are able, in any amount.

Checks can be made out to American Cancer Society and mailed to my attention at CENTURY 21 Hecht Realty, 885 North Hwy 16, Denver NC  28037.

We all hope that our lives reamain untouched by this deadly disease, but want to make sure we are doing all we can to fight for life and hope.  Thanks in advance for your support!

My Deceased Grandfather with My Daughter

My Deceased Grandfather with My Daughter

My Grandfather had Cancer.  He had his larynx (voicebox) removed and taught himself to talk again.  Unfortunately, he later suffered from Alzheimers and died.  He was simply one of the best men I have ever met and played a huge role in my life.  He is greatly missed.

About Michelle Nantz

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional: integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills, and a high-quality professional network ~ all of which are hallmarks of Michelle Nantz. In 2003, Michelle began her career in real estate, after a successful career in restaurant and hotel management with her last position as Regional Director of Operations running 56 hotels throughout two states. She owes her success in real estate and management to her expertise in people skills, managing, negotiating, and follow-up. However, it is Michelle’s dedication to quality service that she ultimately credits her success. Michelle shared, “In my experience as a Lake Norman real estate professional, I’ve found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to their needs.” This “client first” philosophy combined with continual personal improvement and keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies is a cornerstone of both Michelle’s and Lake Norman Realty’s business philosophy. In addition to Michelle’s extensive real estate education and her experience in the local market, she is also an Accredited Staging Professional®, which brings additional value to marketing her clients’ homes. Michelle and her family have made the Lake Norman area their home for over 10 years. In her rare leisure moments, you’ll find Michelle with her three children and husband, or unwinding with gardening or reading. “I live and work in this community and only have the best interests of our community and its members in mind,” says Michelle. Her community activities include participation in Denver Days, Relay for Life and support for Christian Ministries and area schools.
