As I took several bags of children’s clothes to East Lincoln Christian Ministries this morning, I felt it was the perfect time to remind you guys to think about your trash.
It is a habit of mine now developed over the last few months. What you think of as trash may not be to a family in need.
Great example! Cleaning up the yard and my husband wants to throw away the swing set. Everything on it functions. One swing needs an adjustment and it is not quite as attractive as it once was. I told him not to. Surely, there was a local family that would be quite happy with it. Within hours we found a family in need that was thrilled to have it for their son.
Wow, that even felt better than taking it to the trash.
Drop offs are very convenient at the location on Catawba Burris. Bags can be put into the shoot and large items left at the loading dock and day or evening. They don’t have to be open. Drive through, drop it off and you are on your way.
With all of that said…”Is that really trash?”
